What RF Microneedling May Improve
RF microneedling is commonly selected for skin concerns that require more structural support than a conventional facial can provide.
It may help improve the appearance of:

Results develop progressively as the skin’s natural remodeling process continues. RF microneedling is not a substitute for surgery, and significant laxity may require evaluation by a medical provider. You will always receive an honest recommendation about what the treatment can—and cannot—reasonably accomplish.
How RF Microneedling Works
Fine, sterile needles create controlled microchannels while radiofrequency energy is delivered beneath the skin’s surface. This combined approach supports collagen and elastin activity at a deeper level than traditional microneedling alone.
The goal is not to treat every client aggressively. Needle depth, energy, timing and treatment area must be selected carefully. More intensity does not automatically create a better result—especially for sensitive, inflamed or pigment-prone skin.
RF Microneedling Is Not Right for Every Skin—Every Day
Your consultation and skin assessment are essential. Treatment may need to be postponed or replaced with a gentler option when the skin is experiencing:
- Active or inflamed acne
- A compromised or highly reactive barrier
- Infection, open lesions or uncontrolled inflammation
- Recent significant sun exposure or tanning
- Certain medication or medical contraindications
- Pregnancy
- Active melasma or a history of heat-triggered pigmentation
For pigment-prone skin, treatment timing and intensity require particular care because unnecessary heat and inflammation may increase the risk of post-inflammatory pigmentation.

Before treatment
We review your skin history, current products, medications, recent sun exposure, previous reactions and goals. If your skin is not ready for RF microneedling, we will recommend a safer starting point.
During treatment
Your skin is cleansed and prepared, and topical numbing is used when appropriate. Settings are customized by treatment area and skin response. The appointment remains private, attentive and unhurried.
After treatment
Redness, warmth, mild swelling, dryness or pinpoint marks may occur. These effects commonly improve over the following several days, although recovery varies by treatment intensity and individual skin response.
You will receive personalized aftercare instructions. These typically include gentle cleansing, barrier-supportive hydration, daily sunscreen, and temporarily avoiding retinoids, exfoliating acids, heat and strenuous exercise.
