I have consistently held the belief that skincare is not a standard, uniform practice. Reflecting on my personal experience as a cancer patient, I have come to appreciate the inherent diversity among individuals. It is evident that no two persons share identical factors such as ethical backgrounds, environmental and climatic influences, genetic makeup, physical activity and dietary regimens, water sources, stress levels, medical histories, or lifestyle inclinations. As a result, we adopt a comprehensive functional medicine approach to address the unique aspects of individual skin health.
Surrounded by the beauty of life
My journey into beauty and skin wellness has truly unique roots. It all began with a passion for design and fashion, taking off during my teenage years.
As a teenager, I was drawn to the vibrant energy of fashion design. My earliest forays into the fashion industry were experimental and exhilarating, shaping the designer in me. I remember spending countless hours sketching designs and learning about the intricate details that make a piece, not just clothing but a statement. I immersed myself in every aspect of fashion, from textiles to how garments are constructed.
Creativity and self-discovery in bridal couture
My love for design naturally transitioned into more specialized fields. I took a significant step into the bridal couture world, working in a custom design house. Here, I developed a keen eye for luxurious fabrics and an understanding of how to craft gowns that made brides feel like the best version of themselves on their special day. This experience was profound—it taught me about the importance of personalized detail and the impact it has on individual experience.
The cancer diagnosis that changed my life
My journey with melanoma shaped my philanthropic efforts and personal life in profound ways. I’m passionate about giving back to the community and cherishing time with my loved ones.
It is here, at the crossroads of aesthetics and advocacy, that I’ve found my call to action—to educate and uplift others. Through my work and outreach, I strive to empower individuals to embrace their inner beauty while understanding the significance of skin health, creating a message that resonates beyond mere aesthetics and into the heart of wellbeing.
Surviving melanoma profoundly changed me. It propelled me into using my platform to advocate for skin cancer awareness through my 501c3 Pretty Pale. I embrace my role wholeheartedly, from organizing community sunscreen drives to speaking at events promoting the importance of regular skin checks. My journey drives me to passionately educate others, hoping to affect change and offer support to those impacted by melanoma.
The Logistics of Personal Care
As a cancer patient transitioning back into a professional role, I cultivated my expertise as a logistics professional specializing in supply chain management for bio-science and the personal care industry. My role involved meticulously managing the logistics to guarantee the consistent availability of your favorite products and therapies. From navigating the complexities of FDA Regulations to orchestrating seamless coordination with Customs and Homeland Security, I oversaw the critical processes that facilitated the journey from production to the consumer shelves.
Children's Couture - Dual Mission
The creativity didn’t stop with bridal wear; I also ventured into children’s couture. Creating my own namesake brand allowed me to explore a playful side of design, producing high-end clothing for children. This period of my career was filled with bright colors, delightful textures, and the joy of bringing smiles to little ones’ faces through my creations.
The realm into high-end children’s apparel was sparked by a combination of personal experience and a firm belief in quality. The brand was born from a desire to materialize a vision for garments that stand out for their craftsmanship and style, while also empowering children with confidence through their attire.Â
Through finely tuned design processes and strict adherence to quality, each collection provided young wearers with more than just clothing; they exude a sense of luxury and refinement that’s rare in children’s fashion.
I started dressing celebrity children while also instilling my passion for sun safety as the mission behind my brand.
A pivot as a beauty expert
My path to becoming a celebrity beauty expert has been exciting and rewarding. I’ve had the privilege of sharing my knowledge in top publications like Cosmopolitan and InStyle.
I have also appeared on TV and radio shows to discuss skin health and beauty. It’s incredible to reach so many people with my message!
My expertise comes from years of experience and a deep passion for helping others feel beautiful. I’m always learning and evolving to bring the best advice to my clients and followers. I surround myself with medical professionals, experts and do a tremendous amount of research (and trials) on product and services I support.Â
I have never been paid to say I like something I do not believe in. My advice is purely my own and I will never be swayed by anything other than my own feelings about a topic.
Leadership in skincareÂ
My career and contacts throughout the years led me to open many doors in the beauty industry. This opportunity to lead a grassroots skincare line re-fueled my passion and gave me a much larger platform for healthy skin initiatives.
As the COO of an esteemed multinational skincare brand, I’ve infused my experiences into building a brand that promotes beauty and advocates for health. I led the charge crafting products focused on prevention and care, ensuring each item aligned with my ethics and standards. My role entailed stewardship in philanthropic efforts aimed at skin cancer awareness, championing the cause far beyond our product lines.
in 2017, the brand I loved moved from New York City to Paris, France. This change prompted me to leave the company and relocate to be closer to my family.
Amid the pandemic, I seized the opportunity to expand my entrepreneurial endeavors. I curated a medical-grade skincare line, YOUphoria Curative Skincare, to relieve nurses and other professionals wearing masks daily. This line has since grown to include products targeting acne, aging, and pigmentation, demonstrating my ability to adapt and innovate in challenging times.

I decided to call my Spa a Bespoke Aesthetics Spa because “Bespoke” is a British term used in fashion to describe something explicitly tailored to someone. I wanted to find a way to incorporate my beauty beginnings in fashion with the beautiful journey that led me to you.Â

My world outside work is a warm blend of domestic contentment and tranquil sanctuary, where my supportive family, including my husband and our two dogs, plays a considerable role.
Being a homebody at heart, I find joy and fulfillment in the simple pleasures that my home life provides. My husband is my pillar of strength, always there with a helping hand or a word of encouragement. We’ve created a living space that mirrors our love and care. Our two dogs, Jax and Opie, are energy bundles filling our home with laughter and occasional mischief. Family-focused activities, whether it’s a DIY project or just enjoying each other’s company, are what I look forward to most. Our shared endeavors, big or small, make our house a home.
My Obsession with Plants
In between the lively moments, I treasure the quiet times. My multiple plants scattered around the house (and spa) are my silent companions that I love to care for, each adding a touch of green serenity to our rooms. They’re not just decor; they’re like friends that thrive under my nurturing.Â
This peaceful home sanctuary is where I recharge, indulging in hobbies or sometimes just embracing each room’s stillness. It’s the perfect balance to a busy life – a personal retreat that reflects my love for tranquility and the natural world.

As a little kid, Kerry would stitch together clothes from her mom's bed sheets, dreaming of making something truly magnificent. With her wild imagination and creative passion for fashion, she embarked on a whimsical journey to look and feel great!
