Q: I do not know which facial I need so how do I chose one when I book?

A. Choose “Power to the Pores” Power to the Pores: Deep Clean” just for Booking purposes. An evaluation will be conducted during your Appointment and adjustments will be made during your visit.

Q: How often should I get a facial?

A. We recommend every 6-8 weeks. If your schedule does not allow for that frequency, try to come when the seasons change.

Q. Does Blemish Removal Tags hurt?

A. We numb you the entire procedure with topical anesthetic to keep you comfortable during the duration of your appointment. There may be mild discomfort in the beginning but, not enough to prevent you from doing the treatment.

Q. Will I bruise from Cosmetic Injections?

A. It is not uncommon for some bruising to occur during or after cosmetic injections. We recommend taking oral Arnica (we have this available to purchase) for two weeks prior as well as using topical Arnica post procedure. We do all possible to prepare you for the best outcome ahead of time. However, everyone is different. Bruising may still occur.

Q. Will the redness subside after extractions?

A. Everyone’s skin is different and some extractions require more work than others where healing may be inevitable. Your Practitioner will explain what to expect and the best aftercare. If you get regular facials, it will reduce the incidence of redness or swelling.

Q. What is the downtime with a chemical peel?

A. You can expect to start peeling about 2-3 days post procedure. Peeling can vary from person-to-person but it is typical to shed/exfoliate for the first week to week and a half. It is important not to pick during this time. Itching can be a normal symptom of peeling. Your Practitioner will give you strict guidelines pre/post peel to get the best results.

Q. Do I remove my makeup before I come?

A. No. We will remove your makeup. Just relax, close your eyes and let us look after you.

Q. Are you wheelchair and handicap accessible?

A. Yes. Clients with special requirements are encouraged to advise a staff member prior to arriving so that we can accommodate accordingly.

Q. What is your skin care philosophy?

A. We believe facials are a necessity, not a luxury. Good skin care requires an effective skin care program, which includes consistent facial treatments and diligent skin care routine using quality products. Our facial treatments have been carefully curated to be effective and relaxing, with the goal of producing and maintaining healthy, clear and beautiful skin. All of our treatments and skincare are cruelty-free.

Q. How long should it take to see results with new skincare products?

A. Some people see results the first time they use their new products, and the skin typically feels different right away. The skin feels clean, smooth, hydrated, and reflects a new level of health that’s noticeable. If your skin has more advanced long-term needs, such as treatment of skin aging, acne or hyper pigmentation caused by hormonal fluctuations or sun damage, results may not be as immediate; however, skin health will continue to improve as you follow the advice of your Practitioner.

Q. What is the difference between over-the-counter (OTC) skincare vs. professional skincare products?

A. OTC skin care products are often made with lower quality, less expensive ingredients. Therefore, when comparing OTC products to professional products, it may seem like OTC is less expensive. However, be mindful of how frequently you’re purchasing OTC products, and you may discover it is not the cheaper option. Professional products have more concentrated active ingredients than OTC products, so a little bit goes a long way, meaning fewer trips to the store. With the added benefit of positive results, the professional products make the most sense for your pocketbook.
